lovely lovely locket love

Middle Photo, Flickr; Other Photos from GreatLakesVintage

Suddenly it occurred to me that I really wanted to own a little locket to wear with my "cupcake dresses", as my sister calls them. There's nothing more sickeningly sweet than a heart shaped locket. I kind of thought that I would be searching for days for the perfect locket but it came to me immediately! The little love birds are the best part!
What photo should I put inside?

PS. Listen to Locket Love by The Ramones, while we're on the subject.

crazy CRAZY

This weekend I helped my sister with a project about Bye Bye Birdie for her General Music class. It's my favorite musical and it caused me to stay up until 3 am searching for perfect little 50's dresses with full skirts on Etsy. Oh Kim McAfee, you are my sassy sweet talking hero.

This scene is the best. There are so many girls running around in dreamy dresses and Conrad Birdie is wearing a golden jumpsuit!

I'm tempted to invest in a nice crinoline petticoat.

jussayin

"this whole idea of girls getting their own groups together is just as demeaning as girls using punk as a dress up game" - hc rebellion

diy duh duh

i embroidered that onto a tie dye tank crop top that i made. it's probably hard to tell but it's supposed to be this. i really feel on a roll with the embroidery and always want to do that instead of my homework. also i used to wear a lot of tie dye and now i feel like i'm slowly doing that again except now i only wear crop tops (still into them).

hey

it's been a while because i've been busy dressing like a grungy baby in my messy dorm room. here is my late fashion week review: w/e. here is how i feel about being edgy: w/e. here is what i think about school: w/e.
def time for a makeover.

little hats

The entire internet (myself included) is obsessed with straw boaters for spring and summer. I've been searching high and low for the perfect straw hat and I think I've nearly found it. The fact that it's tiny makes it kind of comical, which is more appealing. Though looking at this now makes me think that I may need to start searching the internet for little Victorian doll hats. In fact, I think I used to own a porcelain doll with a straw boater. Lucky doll.

Available at Pixie Market.
